Languages we're building right now
We welcome all languages, including Spanish, Arabic, Pashto, Dari, Farsi, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Russian, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Portuguese, French, and ASL.
We especially need rare and less common languages, including:
Karen, Karenni, Burmese, Rohingya, Hakha Chin, Tigrinya, Amharic, Oromo, Somali, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Kikongo, Lingala, Haitian Creole, Mam, K'iche', Mixteco, Zapotec, Hmong, Mien, Khmer, Lao, Nepali, Uzbek, Tajik, Kurdish (Kurmanji and Sorani), Armenian, Georgian, Mongolian, Tongan, Samoan, Marshallese, Chuukese, and Fiji Hindi.
Speak something rare? That's exactly who we want to meet. If your language isn't listed, apply anyway.
Certifications we value
For interpreters:
- CCHI (CHI or CoreCHI)
- NBCMI (CMI)
- California Court Certified or Registered Interpreter
- Federal Court Certified Interpreter
- RID (NIC, CI/CT) or BEI for ASL interpreters
- Completion of a 40-hour or longer medical interpreter training program
For translators:
- ATA Certification
- Degree or certificate in translation or interpretation
- Experience with certified translations for USCIS, courts, or legal use
Certification is a strong plus but not required for every language, especially rare languages where formal testing may not be available. Experience and skill matter most.
You'll be a great fit if you
- Have 2+ years of professional interpreting or translation experience
- Are authorized to work in the U.S.
- Have a quiet space and reliable internet for remote work
- Pay close attention to accuracy and detail
- Take confidentiality and professionalism seriously
